Creating a Digital Signature in PDF-Xchange

On the landing page of PDF-Xchange Editor navigate to the File tab and start a new blank document.


Top left of the blank document, open the protect tab and press “Sign Document”.


This will prompt your cursor to change when you hover over the blank document, press anywhere on the white area and a signature box will appear.

 

·         Click Create Certificate


·         Then fill in your Name, Organisation Name, and Email Address, and click OK


·         It will prefill the signature details, however if you wish to edit the appearance then you can double click on the large box with your name and digital signature to bring up the edit window

·         The Digital Signature Appearance Template window will appear, you will be presented with a selection of templates for your signature.

                 o   If you choose to edit an existing signature – press Edit

o   If you choose to create a new signature – press Add New


Either option will bring up the edit signature panel, the top half of the panel labelled “Display Graphics” will allow you to edit the signature itself.

as either:

·         a name as Icon – customised font for signature  

·         Custom – import file

·         None – remove signature 



This can be highly customizable and can get very granular so I will only cover how to create and edit a basic signature 

Importing Scanned Image

o   If you have a scanned file of your signature, press on change then Import from file, this will allow you to import your scanned signature.

 

o   Or you can keep your typed name as a digital signature or draw it by mouse.




Removing Background

Set the Background logo to None.



Overview and Saving Signature

Untick all the check boxes that you do not want to show on your signature (remove them all to just show signature) and press OK on all open windows and save the document to keep changes.
